A Simple Car Ride Home

About a week ago, I was working out in the gym at my apartment complex. This lady approaches me and tells me that she lives a walking distance of 45 minutes away and doesn’t have a ride home. After a little shuffling around on my part to make sure I could afford it, I thought to myself, “So I’ll spend $5 on a pack of cigarettes, but I’m second guessing myself whether or not to take this lady home?” I immediately said yes. The best part of it all is that the very next day, I myself was left without a ride home. Upon overhearing my conversation, a coworker said in an instant, “I can take you home. No problem.”

You see, every single decision that we make on a daily basis impacts someone else’s life, and it’s our responsibility to make the most of every moment we live.
