Since moving into our neighborhood 10 years ago I have cooked at least once a week and sometimes as many as 3 times a week for our elderly neighbor and her grandson. We mow her lawn when he can’t, I shop for her when I am at the store already, we collect her mail when she is gone, I have picked up her house when she was too ill to do so and I have done minor repirs to her cars. I have taught my children to practice what I preach, they too do one act of kindness every day, we know it’s just the right way to live our lives.
