I went shopping and while I was looking around a store I noticed one of the employees looked really upset. I began conversating with her and asked how her day was going. She was really open with me and told me what was going on. I listened and gave her some advice. As I was leaving she thanked me for listening and told me that I made her day a little bit better. I just smiled and said that things will get better and she smiled back.

Tiffany, you may have made a bigger difference than you know. Clerks are often invisible to customers unless there’s something to complain about. Many customers are indifferent, some outright rude. Great idea!
