My first deed for the year couldn’t have been more perfect. Anyone who knows me knows that I am an animal freak..they don’t call me the rescuer for nothing. Anyway, I just happened to look out of my window overlooking my porch and peering in at me was a yellow lab, shaking from the cold and obviously lost. Long story short, he had a collar but no tag and also an invisible fence collar, the kind with the box (which obviously wasn’t working very well!). I ended up taking him to the vet and thank goodness he had a microchip with the owner’s name and number and the dog’s name (Murphy). I left a message and took the dog home with me until his owner could come and pick him up. I did receive a call from the owner who asked if I could keep him until she got off of work. No problem. Murphy had fallen asleep curled up on my feet. Murphy got home safe and I got my first deed of the year.
