I know you’re supposed to write on here what you did, but my husband and I were given such a wonderful surprise gift that I have to let you know.
Recently at an estate sale, I sat my 12 month old granddaughter down to walk and she fell down and started crying. Well an older gentleman grabbed a little baby doll and bought it for her to make her smile. While this was going on, my husband asked the price of an antique child’s play horse (the kind that is on springs with the wooden legs), when the man said $75 we knew we couldn’t come close. He told us to make an offer, we told him we didn’t want to embarrass ourselves by what we could pay and went on shopping.
We spent a whole $1.50 at that sale and went to our car. That same older man came out and asked if we were buying that horse for our granddaughter. When we said yes, he said he wanted to buy it for her. We told him that was too much money and we couldn’t let him do it but he wouldn’t take no for an answer.
When he went back in to pay, we considered driving off but decided we better wait because he seemed so excited. When he came out he only asked that we keep it for her and not sell it and do something nice for someone else.
We promised we would. He then preceded to tell us that 3 years ago he was homeless with nothing and said a prayer and God told him to give just a little to someone else in need. So he did. Then he told us that today, he’s a MILLIONAIRE! Just 3 years later. He was crying when we were talking and then he just walked away. We couldn’t believe it!
That was the best Christmas, or actually best ever, present we’ve ever received. Our granddaughter loves it and we get a wonderful feeling every time she rides it!
We look forward to passing that man’s kindness and generosity on to as many people as possible.
God Bless!!!!
