She was in the right place at the right time and pushed me in the right direction. My life wouldn't have been the same but for her. Well, I called her at her retirement home in Florida to thank her for "bending this twig". We were both overcome with the emotion of knowing how one simple decision, one simple act, can ripple through another's life. By all means take a few minutes call someone who has made a difference in your life and let them know it.
